You Are 3!

Owen is 3!

Dear Owen,

Three years old feels like a big milestone birthday to me.  You are no longer a baby but becoming a little boy.  I found myself teary-eyed as you slept your first night in a big boy bed.  You are becoming more independent as you are almost potty trained.  Your vocabulary is expanding rapidly and your "what" questions are turning to "why" questions. You are eager to explore and learn about everything in front of you.  You have a tender and compassionate heart that cares for others.  Additionally, you have done exceptionally well taking on the role of big brother and friend to your little brother Henry this year. There are so many memories from this year that I wish never to forget.

• You spent Wednesday mornings at Grandma and Grandpa Watson's house
• Your brother Henry was born on June 25
• You had shingles on your leg when Henry was born
• You took your first trip to the ER after splitting open your chin on a retaining wall
• Your brother was in the hospital with RSV for 4 days and you stayed at Grandpa and Grandma Watson's house
• You transitioned from your crib to a twin bed
