HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2013

Thanksgiving morning was beautiful, sunny and cold.  I made it outside for my own personal 5k Turkey Trot.  It gave me time to reflect and think about the many things I am thankful for this year.   After returning from my Trot I made my Thanksgiving homemade rolls and pecan salad before heading over to my parents house for dinner.

My mom had beautifully set the table for our Thanksgiving meal!

And my mom always comes up with beautiful centerpieces for the table!

And of course we watched some football!

Before eating the delicious meal this year we began with a fun puppet show that Tommy and I wrote to help Owen understand a little bit more about what Thanksgiving is all about.  He loved the puppet show! (click here to watch)

This year we missed seeing a number of people.  Bryson and Jordan were home sick and Paula was at home in Haiti.  (We made a short little video for Paula since she was not able to be there for Thanksgiving and her birthday this year! - You can watch video here!)  We also missed sharing a meal with Tommy's sister and family as they were not well.  Thankfully we were able to share some Thanksgiving pumpkin pie with Donna/Nana and Steve/PaPa a few days after Thanksgiving.

We are thankful for so much as we reflect on this past year!
