The Beauty of God's Creation

"By Him all things were created..."  

Colossians 1:16

This morning on my walk I found a big and beautiful moth. I caught it in a tupperware and placed it on my kitchen counter the rest of the morning so I could look at it.  For those who know me well, you are probably not surprised that I did this.  ;)

I kept looking at it all morning with amazement at how beautifully God created this moth to be.  It had a big body covered in red hair, fuzzy legs, large wings and what seemed like a billion little feelers on the antenna.  I even brought it with me strawberry picking to show it off to my mom!

Look at his hairy legs and incredible antenna!

I am so thankful for the many things God created for us to enjoy. He is so creative, artistic, intentional and detailed. I am always so amazed at the things He creates.  Even a moth can be stunning!!!

I like how Francis Chan said it in his book Crazy Love, "God's art speaks of himself, reflecting who he is and what he is like."

Thank you God for creating beautiful things for me to enjoy that remind me of you!
